Former Georgian Court University adjunct Denise C. Lewicki, who earned a B.A. in business in 1994 and an MBA in 2000, has been named President of Lincoln College of New England (LCNE) in Southington, CT.

LCNE is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), and is a subsidiary of Lincoln Educational Services, which is publicly traded on NASDAQ. Lincoln College of New England, known until early 2010 as Briarwood College, is a private, for-profit associates’ college that has a co-educational residential school with an enrollment of 800. LCNE is known for its mortuary science, occupational therapy assistant, dental hygiene, and nursing programs.

Throughout her career, Ms. Lewicki says she has drawn heavily from the lessons and principles she learned from GCU faculty members James Carroll, Ph.D., and the late Ann Fosbre, Ph.D., and others.

“They provided far more than just what was listed in the course outline,” she recalls. “They provided a sense of values and personal accomplishment that have helped shape my life.”

More than a decade after completing her master’s degree at Georgian Court, Ms. Lewicki is using those same principles as she influences the culture of LCNE.

“The success and interest of the student always comes first,” she says. “I take deep pride in being a familiar face across campus and I host student luncheons each month to keep attuned to the students we serve.”

Ms. Lewicki, a CPA, lives in Southington with her husband, Rich, two teenage boys, and a golden retriever. Prior to becoming president, she was Vice President of Finance and Administration at Lincoln College. Earlier in her career, she held positions at Henkel International in Bridgewater, N.J., and Rocky Hill, CT. and Lucent Technologies in Holmdel, N.J.
