Room at the Table: Artists Reflect on ‘Supper’

For those working with Silvana Cardell on her creation, Supper, People on the Move, the experience has been unlike any other project they’ve been involved in—enriching, but also challenging in unexpected ways. What has made Supper such a special experience, these artists say, has been the scope of the project—and the challenges of helping Ms. Cardell—also director of the Georgian Court University dance program—make her vision a reality. And they fully appreciate the project’s focus on delving into the experiences and stories of immigrants.

Another Round of Success—Georgian Court Golf Classic 2015

Annual Scholarship Golf Classic Raises Money for Georgian Court

Georgian Court University’s 2015 Golf Classic drew more than 100 golfers and a full house of evening participants during the May 11 event at the Spring Lake Golf Club. Honoree Bob Mulcahy, who received the Joseph E. Buckelew Civic Service Award, emphasized the importance of raising money for student scholarships and a new turf project at GCU. President Rosemary E. Jeffries, who is stepping down June 30 after 14 years at the helm, was also honored at the event that raised upward of $130,000.

“Good support and this kind of investment helps to provide them with a university experience,” Mr. Mulcahy said. “We are a vehicle to help do the things we need to for those who really need it, especially at a time when we need to educate people who come out of college with a sense of values.”
