Georgian Court Provides Spark for Romance

Rose Marie Bellocchio, a native of Italy, came to Georgian Court College at the urging of a high school English teacher, who pushed her to attend college and even took her to visit different schools. When she got to GCC, she “just fell in love with it.” Only a few years later, The Court would become the place where Rose Marie found  the love of her life.

President Rosemary Jeffries is no miracle worker, but don’t tell that to the faithful of Georgian Court University. For 14 years, the Sister of Mercy has been a driving force at GCU, leading the school through the historic shift from a traditional women’s liberal arts college to a fully coeducational university.

Graduate students in Georgian Court University’s Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant program recently presented at the 21st Century Literacy Conference. The event, hosted by the New Jersey Council for Exceptional Children and jointly sponsored with The Madison Institute,  New Jersey Principals and Supervisors, and the Foundation for Educational Administration, was held Feb. 5 in Monroe, NJ.
